Chamomile Assisted Living

The Chamomile Assisted Living facility is comprised of a two-story, 20-unit building with common areas, kitchen and laundry facilities and elevator, located in the Grandview Gardens planned-unit development on Madison’s east side. Isthmus Architecture, Inc. designed a building that acknowledges the Traditional Neighborhood planning concept upon which the Grandview development is based. The building is set near the street with generous plantings, and the interior spaces take advantage of gardens on the east and views of the downtown skyline to the west. The building’s massing, choice of exterior materials and treatment establish an appropriate character and scale, welcoming to both residents and visitors to this community-oriented, pedestrian-friendly community. In addition to design services, Isthmus Architecture provided construction administration services for the project.
