Petawa Residence Hall

Building Envelope, Community, Forensic Assessment - 2011

About The Project

The Petawa Residence Hall was constructed as a grand home for an affluent Milwaukee family. The building is now owned by Opus Dei, a prelature of the Roman Catholic Church, who operate it as a women’s residence hall. Isthmus Architecture, Inc. conducted historical research, and performed a condition survey to assess and document the physical condition, historic integrity and maintenance issues facing the building. Using this data, a Rehabilitation Plan was developed and the work was completed by qualified restoration contractors. Lastly, a maintenance schedule was developed to assist in the on-going upkeep of the historic structure.
